- When and where can I take the
Mensa qualifying exam?
- Testing is being conducted on weekdays in the afternoon at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Quezon city
- How do I schedule taking the
test in Veterans Memorial Hospital?
- Please contact Dr. Jessy Gutierrez at +63 (2) 927-69-56 during
office hours.
- Can we schedule our own testing session?
Yes. You can schedule your own testing session for your school, company or organization on weekends if you can assure at least ten (10) paying examinees and you have your own venue available for at least four hours. Again contact Dr. Gutierrez to find out the schedule or availability.
- How and where do I pre-register?
You may pre-register by via the link at the upper-right corner of this site (Mensa Test Registration)
- I am not free on weekdays. How
can I take the test on weekends?
- Testing is also done on weekends when Mensa has activities. Please go to yahoo group messages and http://www.mensaphilippines.org and check out from the schedules of activities posted which weekend schedule and venue suits you. Please also contact Dr. Gutierrez at (+63 917 274-36-91) to get specific directions to the weekend venue, and so she will be able to bring enough testing material to the activity.
- I am not based in Manila, how
do I take the test?
- If you are from the provinces, you can contact Dr. Gutierrez for an exam
anytime you are in Manila.
Mensa Philippines also holds semi-regular test sessions in Cebu and already has a thriving membership there. If you want to be informed of the next testing in Cebu, please contact our Cebu Testing Reservations Officer, Joan Florido.

Alternatively, please write to testing@mensa.ph and your e-mail address will be noted down and you will be informed when Mensa schedules a testing session near your area. Please also check the Coming Events page regularly for testing sessions that may be held in your vicinity.
- What type of test is it?
- The type of exam is a purely abstract (figural reasoning) supervised
sit-down test; there are no cultural biases that stem from mathematical, reading comprehension, grammatical and similar types of tests.
- I would like to take the practice
test at home. How do I do this?
- The only practice test Mensa Philippines can recommend is on the Mensa
International website, http://www.mensa.org/workout.html.
- How many questions are there?
- Sorry, we cannot divulge that information.
- How much is the testing fee?
- Testing fee is P300 for undergraduate students with valid ID and P500
for professionals. For one-on-one tests, testing fee s P800.
- How much is the pre-registration fee?
Pre-registration requires NO pre-payment. Payments will only be received at the testing venue itself. Providing us with your name and contact info beforehand simply allows us to be better prepared to accommodate you. Pre-registrants may choose their time slot and will have preference over walk-in test-takers.
- What do I have to bring to
the testing session?
- Besides the testing fee and a valid ID, you don't have to bring anything
else. A pencil will be provided for you. Although if you have a lucky pen, you will be allowed to use that to take the test.
- I have taken the test before
but did not qualify. Can I take the test again?
- Only if at least six months have elapsed since the last time you took
the test. That is the minimum period we allow anyone to retake the test.
- I have taken the test in another
country and passed. Do I have to take the test again here?
- No. All you have to do is contact our cybercom head at office at ph.mensa.org
and he will verify your qualification in other countries. As soon as your qualification is confirmed, you can pay your membership fee and become an active member here in the Philippines.
- I have taken the practice tests
on the internet and was told my score can qualify me for Mensa. Do I still have to take the test?
- You still have to take the test. Only the Mensa-administered tests here
and in other countries are officially able to grant anyone qualification.
- Is there a minimum age?
- Only 14-year olds and above are allowed to take the test. This is because
that is the minimum age for which we have data to determine if a person's test results qualify him or her for Mensa. If a child passes the practice tests, then we recommend that he or she take the test upon reaching age 14.
- It has been more than a month
since I took the test. Can't I be told my test results by e-mail or phone call?
- No. To ensure the confidentiality of test results, Mensa International requires us to send the results by post to the preferred mailing address you gave in your information sheet. That means test results cannot be divulged by e-mail, phone call or text message. If you do not receive your results three weeks after you took the test, please contact testing@mensa.ph to confirm that your preferred mailing address and zip code are correct. Then a new letter will be sent to you. Allow another three weeks for delivery.
