An Event No Mensan Should Miss Let's start the year with a grand celebration for new Mensans! On Jan. 24, 2009, all those who qualified as a result of the Mensa IQ Challenge in Bonifacio High Street, Global City, Taguig City, on Nov. 30, 2008 and the most recent one-on-one private exams will take center stage as they will be formally welcomed to our society. All inductees will receive a certificate of qualification and their membership IDs during the ceremony. Current Mensa Philippines President Chris Tan and founder and Carlos Palanca awardee Art Ilano will speak during the program. The event also includes cocktails and an after-program party. The Venue: Alchemy Alchemy promises its visitors the ultimate party experience. Located at Silvercity Mall in Pasig (across SM Hypermart), the place boasts of a prime location at the corner of the mall, and its white VIP elevator built outside the premises greets and intrigues passersby. The floors are made for dancing, drinking, indulging and partying the night away. O Lounge, at its first floor, is the heart of Alchemy's chic. The first level of fun gives you a laid-back and chill atmosphere to start your night right on track, or to end your hours of seemingly endless dancing on the upper floors of Alchemy. Looking for the afterparty? O Lounge a floor or two down, and has a menu that will sober up the meanest hangovers. Alchemy has a lot in store for you, as it boasts of using exclusive sound and state-of-the-art lights. DJs in the club formulate their hypnotic beats especially for Alchemy - the club has its own style of sound. Erwin Edralin, Elmer Dado and Manolet "Papi" Santos are just some of Alchemy's Resident DJs who power up each night with the latest high-voltage blasts. The 3-in-1 instant night life of Alchemy is also the proud bearer of world-class lights, the first of its kind in Asia. Their equipment, labeled as First High Intensity Multi-Colored Laser Lights (whew!) is from Denmark, and it is the same as the ones used for Ministry of Sound, promising party-goers that visual trippy experience while enjoying their drinks and grooving to the music. Alchemy's formula for the ultimate night out is truly world-class and unique, and they may very well have struck gold with it. Its three floors of high-end clubbing and dining is the reason why crowds are coming in consistently, and continuously. The newest nightspot in town is driven to offer you the science of having a good time. Live the ultimate party experience at Alchemy, where night life is a science!
