| About Sending Mensa ID's |
|
Good day fellow Mensan,
Today, members are given updated ID's when they renew their memberships.
Mensa Philippines' Executive Committee has expressed concern about sending Mensa letters and material via our postal service (ex., they don't arrive). Reproducing and resending carries costs, and the current membership fees are still kept relatively low, and at the same time these membership fees should finance the other benefits we provide members.
Because of these, we have decided to give you the following options:
1. If you would like us to send you your ID via LBC, please deposit an additional 100 pesos, to cover costs, to Mensa Philippines' official Metrobank account, when you pay your membership dues, and include your request to have your ID sent to you via LBC when you send your payment details to our Treasurer via email. This should ensure that your ID will arrive to you, also within a less amount of time.
2. Your ID can still be sent to you via snail mail at no additional cost to you, however, if your ID should not reach you, we need to charge 200 pesos for reprinting the ID as that also carries a cost, excluding delivery charges if you would like it sent via LBC.
3. You may still opt to claim your ID personally. You may claim it at a future Mensa event so that we're sure it gets to you. We plan on having more events, at least once a month, and you can claim your ID at the merchandise table or from the assigned Deputy Membership Director. I will be emailing you for future events, so please check your email, and sometimes your spam folder, as sometimes my email ends up there (or you could set up a filter for my email address). You may also claim it at our President's office in Pasig between Monday and Friday, 10am to 6pm, or with another officer, with enough time and coordination with me.
If you would like your ID sent to you, please include your exact mailing address and phone number, if they are different from what you have provided in your infosheet when you took the test, or when you last updated your information, when you send your payment details to our Treasurer.
If you are paid up, but have not received your ID, please email membership-ph@mensa.org, and choose from the options above.
Sorry for the incovenience as we rely on our postal service, and we would like to keep membership dues as low as we can.
Thank you and I hope you can join us at an upcoming event
